Cedric Richner, CFRE

Co-Founder and President

Drawing on more than twenty-five years of experience, Cedric Richner counsels non-profit organizations regarding their fund development programming and overall strategic direction. He has deep expertise in managing organizational change, prospective major donor strategy, and building sustainable fundraising cultures.


Mori Richner

Co-Founder and Business Manager

Prior to the inception of the firm, Mori was Director of Annual Giving at the U of M Business School, a program that raised $1.5 million annually as part of the School’s $125 million campaign.


Cheryl Booms, CFRE

Consultant

Cheryl Booms has provided fundraising and leadership to a variety of non-profit organizations for more than ten years, serving as a development officer, professional consultant, board member, and volunteer.


Kelly Quilter, CFRE

Consulting Analyst

Prior to joining Richner & Richner, Kelly was the director of development for the College of Education at Eastern Michigan University (EMU). Kelly was responsible for major gifts, planned gifts, annual gifts, and alumni outreach and engagement.


Jill Schrems

Client Relations Assistant

Prior to joining Richner & Richner, Jill was involved in the health care, non-profit, and education sectors. She co-founded a clinical laboratory based in Latin America, where she managed operations and communications efforts.


Helen Starman, CFRE

Senior Consultant

Helen Starman has over twenty-five years of fundraising and non-profit experience as a social worker, community volunteer and board member, and development professional, most recently as the Director of Development for IHN @ Alpha House, a local shelter for parents and children experiencing homelessness.


Laura Tomassi

Consulting Analyst

Prior to joining Richner & Richner, Laura Tomassi was the Associate Director of Development for the local non-profit North Star Reach, where she was responsible for corporate and foundation relations, volunteer management, grant writing, planning and execution of the organization’s special events, and major gift work.

William C. Richardson is the former president of The Johns Hopkins University and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. He has chaired numerous boards and commissions, and he has served on the boards of directors of the Bank of New York Mellon, CSX Corp. (retired), Exelon Corp., and the Kellogg Co. (retired).


Stephen B. Dobson

Retired president of Dobson-McOmber, Steve serves on the boards of United Way of Washtenaw, Glacier Hills retirement community, St. Joseph Mercy Health System and many others.
