Drawing on more than 25 years of experience, Cedric Richner counsels non-profit organizations to reach their fund development programming and overall strategic goals. He has deep expertise in managing organizational change, prospective major donor strategy, and building sustainable fundraising cultures.
Prior to forming Richner + Richner, he was an Executive Director for the Midwest & Southern States Region for the University of Michigan’s $1.4 billion “Campaign for Michigan.”
Cedric is actively involved with The Giving Institute, where he serves as Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors, and previously served as Vice-chair of the Program & Education Committee and Co-chair of the 2017 Summer Symposium which convened in Detroit, Michigan.
Among other volunteer leadership roles, he is a board member of the Michigan Environmental Council and the Little Traverse Conservancy. He is also a member of the Philanthropy Cabinet of LeadingAge, the national association of non-profit organizations dedicated to expanding the world of possibilities for the aging.
A frequent conference presenter, Cedric is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE). He is a graduate of Hillsdale College and resides in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
