Southwest Solutions provides programs and services to the Southwest Detroit community in the three essential and interconnected areas of neighborhood revitalization: human services, housing and economic development, and resident engagement. R&R worked with Southwest Solutions to conduct a major gifts program readiness study that included creating the general case for support and a written, comprehensive, board-approval-ready development plan. In ongoing counsel, R&R prepared customized moves management strategies for prospective major donors and facilitated individual and group solicitation training sessions with staff and volunteers. While R&R was engaged as counsel, Southwest Solutions experienced their best fundraising year ever, raising over $1.2 million.

Established in 1986, the OPRS Foundation is the fundraising arm of Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services. The industry leader in retirement community fundraising, the Foundation raises more than $7 million annually and has an endowment of more than $50 million. The Foundation challenged R&R to assess the fundraising opportunities associated with its innovative Senior Independence program. R&R conducted a comprehensive assessment of fundraising related to the Senior Independence program and worked closely with a high-level task force to present a multi-year fund development strategy to the Foundation board of directors for approval.
Since its founding in 1982, Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay has provided a broad spectrum of living arrangements and services for seniors in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area. Newly appointed executive leadership sought counsel to revitalize and stimulate fundraising. R&R worked closely with the Westminster-Canterbury Foundation leadership and staff to assess untapped fundraising potential. Guided by the assessment, R&R wrote a comprehensive development plan, strengthened the Foundation’s internal operations, and provided ongoing counsel to develop and implement fundraising strategies. Bottom line results include a 30% increase in gifts each year since implementation.
